Hey Frens -

Sending big love to your friends, family and all creatures great and small impacted by the devastating SoCal fires.

🏋🏻‍♀️ For those of you crushing the strength workout, scroll down for next week’s training — it’s a beauty!

Deload week comes the week after and then… this strength cycle (1 of 3) is complete. Great work! 🎉

It’s ‘Quitter’s Friday’ today.

Called so because ten days into the New Year most people default back to their “unwanted” daily habits or abandon everything they were so gung ho about last week.

Proud of you for showing up every day to create a higher vibe of new normal for yourself.

Those little deposits every day — with no excuses —separate you from all the big talkers who will be exactly in the same place…

… talking the same spiel…

… doing the same BS next year on Jan 10, 2026.

On last week’s Ask Me Anything Deep Kimchi Ep 14 podcast, I answered a question regarding a multivitamin recommendation.

I want to follow up on my response because ConsumerLab happened to publish a multivitamin/multimineral report this week…

The takeaways truly give pause:

  • 30% of multivitamin/multimineral supplements failed testing

  • Some had lower levels of nutrient levels claimed on labels (only 14% of the expected Vitamin D in one case)

  • Many have higher than necessary amounts.

    • Gummy vitamins are the bigger culprit

    • Three popular prenatal gummy vitamins had 2x the labeled folic acid

    • One prenatal had 88% more iodine than labeled.

  • As I mentioned in the podcast, one of the many reasons I’m not a fan of multivitamins is the dosage. ConsumerLab’s report underscores this:

“Of particular concern is that several products provided more than or close to the Tolerable Upper Intake Levels (ULs) of some vitamins and minerals, above which there is increasing risk of toxicity with regular use.”

💊What are best bets for a multivitamin including kids/pets?
