🥗Nutrition Blueprint to Fuel Your Feel Goods
A Simple Meal Strategy to Skyrocket Strength & Show Yourself Some Love
Nutrition is actually quite simple whether your goal is muscle growth, fat loss or none of the above… maybe you just want to care for yourself like anyone else you love.
SIMPLE GUIDELINES
Here’s the deal:
Muscles are made in the gym.
Visible abs (fat loss) are made in the kitchen with adequate sleep/recovery and hydration.
Punishing yourself in the gym for something (or a lot of things) you ate is, well, dumb… and can create the opposite intended outcomes.
I’m not saying these guidelines must be followed with the workouts but if you’re looking to make significant body composition changes or feel physically better, it will help tremendously.
Unless you’re brand new to lifting or you’ve been away for a while, accept that if your goal is dropping body fat, then you will sacrifice a little bit of lean mass along the way.
This is why we’re lifting the way we do…. to preserve as much muscle as possible.
On the flip side, if your goal is adding muscle, you’ll want to eat a bit more above maintenance while adding lean mass and preventing fat gain.
Again, unless you’re:
brand new to this type of hypertrophy lifting,
returning after a long hiatus,
or have a huge amount of testosterone (or use performance enhancing drugs)…
… it is a bit challenging to both gain a bunch of muscle and lose a lot of fat at the same time.
For now, make the mental shift of seeing food for what it is:
Fuel to keep the “physical you” running at peak performance for life, thus positively impacting all other facets that make up You.
That’s it.
For now, food is not a Michelin star experience or an emotional crutch.
There’s a time and place for it. If you’re serious about body recomposition, this is not that time. It will come.
🎶 For everything there is a season. Turn, turn, turn…. away from garbage ganking you up.
Food = mood.
The thing about a lot of instant gratification is that it quickly morphs into regret and feeling gross physically and mentally.
You want to put the highest grade energy sources in your tank for immaculate system performance and longevity.
You can absolutely do this. It’s how your body was built to survive and thrive.
