Training Lab
The Deep Kimchi Training Lab App
Where Women 40+ Make Meaningful Muscle
A coach and a protein tracker in your pocket.
Not a stopwatch. Not a glorified spreadsheet.
This is home base for every Deep Kimchi muscle-building program — and the only place to get them.
New cycles drop every 5–6 weeks. Real periodization that cycles through every muscle group, building toward a strong, balanced, head-to-toe physique — not a body with three good lifts and a bunch of gaps.
Past cycles stay accessible. Pick any program from the menu, anytime.
Every cycle is built for one body: yours. Perimenopause, menopause, MHT, GLP-1s, and the actual realities of training over 40.
This isn’t programming pulled off a template that was never built for you — then slapped with a pink dumbbell and called “women’s fitness.”
It’s structured periodization built for the hormonal, metabolic, and joint reality of women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond.
They told you a woman your age has no business lifting. Please. Here's how to kick the door open and step into your strength.

Upper Body Power — 6-Week Cycle
A strong back, strong shoulders, strong arms — and legs that don’t get to clock out. Three upper-body days, one lower day, four days a week.
Weeks 1–4 climb through real progressive overload.
Week 5 peaks — your last set of every lift goes to failure, then a drop set on top.
Week 6 deloads you, because that’s where the muscle you fought for actually gets built.
Built with equipment you’ll find in almost any gym, with movement swaps for every major lift so you can train around what your joints actually like. And woven into the pull days: quiet prep for something we’re building toward in August.
Interactive app + cloud-synced weight and rep tracking. Paid subscriber-only.
How the Lab Works
Every cycle gives you:
A fully interactive app — open it on your phone at the gym, your laptop at home, same data everywhere.
Per-set weight and rep logging that syncs to the cloud automatically. See last week’s numbers sitting right above each blank, so you always know what to beat.
A protein tracker with a personalized daily target, per-meal goals, a GLP-1 mode, and back-dating for the days you forget to log.
Weekly coaching articles with cues, fatigue management, and a clear focus for each week.
A companion podcast episode for each new cycle — what we’re training, and why.

What’s Coming Next
Deep Kimchi is growing. On the way:
Movement video libraries. Short coaching clips for every compound lift — filmed for your body, your mobility, your stage of life. Not a 22-year-old influencer doing things your shoulders won’t.
Deeper GLP-1 training support. Volume and recovery built for women on semaglutide, tirzepatide, or any GLP-1. A generic program ignores what happens when your appetite — and your muscle — get suppressed. This one won’t.
Nutrition frameworks. Protein targets, per-meal minimums, and meal structures paired to each training cycle. Not a meal plan to follow. A framework you can live inside.
New cycles every 5–6 weeks. Upper-dominant. Posterior chain. Quad-focused. Shoulder-dominant. Each block targets a different area on purpose, so over time nothing gets skipped and you build a strong, balanced, head-to-toe physique. The next block is already on the drafting table. Real periodization — never random workouts.

The free Substack — articles, podcast, education — stays free, always. The Training Lab is the one thing reserved for paid subscribers.
Here’s the math. A personal trainer who programs at this level runs $300–$1,000 a month. A serious online coaching subscription runs $40–$250.
Deep Kimchi hands you structured periodization, an interactive training app, a protein tracker, weekly coaching, and a companion podcast — every bit of it built specifically for women in midlife — for a fraction of one session with a trainer.
And every paid subscription keeps the lights on at Save Our Paws, the rescue pulling dogs and cats off the street in Romania and delivering them to a better life. Strong women, saved animals. That’s the deal.
