"You're being so good." Really?
đ„A Healthy Plate Isnât Holier
Food Isnât About âGood.â
Itâs About Consequences.
When someone says, âYouâre being so good,â because you ordered a balanced meal or skipped happy hour, it reveals waaay more about them than about you.
We live in a world where excess is standard and self-respect looks suspicious.
Where taking care of your body is treated like a temporary cleanse from âreal life.â
So, the above comment lands as backhanded praise, but it carries a revealing undertone:
nourishment equals restriction.
For example:
It assumes deprivation. As if choosing food that supports you must require gritted teeth and heroic restraint, instead of simply preference.
It turns your plate into a performance. Suddenly your meal is public commentary.
It divides food into saints and sinners. Salad equals virtue. Dessert equals rebellion. That binary is childish and unhelpful.
For many people, honoring their body feels foreign.
If someone is accustomed to undermining themselves, watching you opt out of that pattern can be uncomfortable.
It becomes a mirror of savage reflection and some people can only cope with the truth by attacking or mocking it.
Eating in a way that supports your physiology is not moral theater.
It is alignment.
Food and hydration that:
stabilizes your energy;
sharpens your thinking;
steadies your mood; and
strengthens your body is not punishment.
It is, however, biologically appropriate if youâre uninterested in being weak and unwell.
If you want to operate at a high level mentally, emotionally, and physically, the inputs matter.
This isnât about earning gold stars. It isnât about purity.
Itâs about congruence.
đđŒ If your aim is foggy mornings, unstable energy, anxiety, and long-term erosion, there are behaviors that reliably produce that outcome.
đđŒ If your aim is inner/outer strength, clarity, and capability, there are behaviors that reliably produce that instead.
đŒđ»There is no halo. đż No horns.
There is only cause and effect.
When we choose our actions, we choose our consequences.

Take care of yourself like someone youâre responsible for helping,

đđŒP.S. No B.S.
Rest days are prep days for your next workout.
Treat active recovery with the same importance you treat training days.
If you burn the runway on booze, chaos and scattered circadian rhythm, donât act surprised when the next lift feels heavy, sluggish, regressive; or even worseâŠ.
âŠyou end up making weak excuses to skip your workout altogether.
Treating active recovery days as a pass to eff around aborts the work you invested in yourself at the gym.
This is why so many people complain they canât sleep well, grow muscle or burn fat when itâs really a self-inflicted wound of their choosing.

Week 2 - Cycle 7- 1 Yr. Transformation Workout
Week of Feb 22, 2026
đŠ”đœđ Sheâs Got Legs!
Hope you enjoyed easing into Week One of this super fun lower body-focused mesocycle!
Weâre going to gently tick up the volume this week.
âïžYou must track your weights, sets, and reps.
What Gets Measured Gets Managed:
Ensure you have your âbeforeâ stats.
Always Begin With a Warm Up
Please do this quick hip mobility progression.
Warm Up to Working Sets
For the 1st exercise of the day, perform 3 progressive warm up sets beginning with 60% of your working weight
For the rest of the exercises, perform 1-2 warm ups âtil you feel primed for your working set(s)
This Weekâs Relative Perceived Effort (RPE):
8/10
Or, think of it as 2toF (2 to fail). Leave two reps in the tank and be honest with yourself.
đ„THIS WEEK: On ALL exercises you should be hitting between 8-12 reps, and at least one more rep than last week on at least your first working set
Rest until you catch your breath
Remember that form, controlled negatives, intensity and range of motion > weight used. A rule of thumb is to use your 10-rep max.
